Easy Ways to Incorporate Anti-Inflammatory Nutrients

Inflammation - we hear this word constantly these days, but what really is inflammation? In reality, it’s our body reacting to certain invaders that it’s not accustomed to. Sometimes inflammation is useful in that it protects us from infection, but other times it can get out of hand and cause even more issues as I’m sure we’re all familiar with. Inflammation is even supposedly tied to some cancers, so incorporating foods with anti-inflammatory properties is super important to help boost our immune system and reduce unnecessary inflammation in the body, and it can actually be really easy! Below are some of my favorites:

  1. Kale salad with avocado, chopped broccoli, organic chicken, pumpkin seeds, and an easy dressing made of extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, and a little hint of dijon mustard.

  2. Berry salad with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.

  3. Chile lime dijon salmon with sautéed spinach, mushrooms, and roasted broccoli (linked the recipe)

  4. Brown rice bowl with roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli, and mushrooms topped with Trader Joe’s Almond Butter Turmeric dressing (sounds weird but it’s SO GOOD)
